HOW DOES THAT WORK?
The Beltpack is very intuitive. It features 6 buttons for 6 channels or point-to-point communication, plus a separate “Reply” button that directly allows to reply to the last person called.
CAN I USE HEADSETS AND BELTPACKS WHILE WEARING PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQIPMENT?
Headsets and beltpacks can be worn and operated in combination with PPE without any problem.
DO I NEED TO CONNECT BELTPACKS AND BASE STATIONS?
No, all beltpacks will be preconfigured and registered to all available base stations in the system, ensuring reliable communication between all wards, regardless of the current base station.. The beltpack connects automatically and seamlessly into the next base station when changing the ward. Communication is never interrupted and always secure.
CAN I CONTROL THE VOLUME OF THE AUDIO OUTPUT?
Two rotary devices can be used to adjust the master volume or the volume of individual channels. The volume rotaries can be identified and operated blindly with only one finger.
CAN I CHOOSE BETWEEN DIFFERENT OPTIONS FOR THE AUDIO OUTPUT?
The Beltpack has a connector for headsets, e.g. RIEDEL’S "Ultra-Lightweight Headset" is commonly used. The Beltpack can also be operated without a headset, like a walkie-talkie radio thanks to its integrated microphone and speaker.
CAN I ADD FURTHER BELTPACKS AFTER THE INITIAL INSTALLATION?
Yes, further beltpacks can easily be registered to the communication network in a simple Touch-and-Go manner.
CAN I SET UP INDIVIDUAL COMMUNICATION CHANNELS?
One-to-one, one-to-many, and many-to-many communication is possible. The respective settings can be configured on each beltpack and conveniently selected with only one touch of a shortcut button.
DOES THE COMMUNICATION SYSTEM INTERFERE WITH MY MEDICAL EQUIPMENT?
The RIEDEL Medical Team Communication System is a hospital approved DECT-based communication system without any radio interference.
WHAT IS THE ENVIRONMENTAL SEALING STANDARD?
The beltpack comes with an IP-65 environmental sealing.
CAN A SINGLE WARD SOLUTION BE EXTENDED TO A MULTI WARD SOLUTION?
The hardware used for Single Ward Solutions can also be used to implement Multi Ward Solutions. An upgrade with additional base stations and beltpacks to extend the range is always possible.
WHAT IS THE MAXIMUM DISTANCE BETWEEN BELTPACKS AND A BASE STATION?
The coverage radius of a single base station is 150 meters, which can be added up by connecting further base stations.
HOW SECURE ARE THE TRANSMITTED CONTENTS?
The transmitted contents are AES256 encrypted, ensuring safe and wire-tap proofed communication.
IS THERE EXTENDED FUNCTIONALITY DUE TO BLUETOOTH ABILITY OF THE BELTPACKS?
Beltpacks support Bluetooth 4.1, allowing either a Bluetooth headset, a smartphone or other additional devices, e.g. Bluetooth stethoscopes, to be connected.

Bolero Beltpack is easy to handle and slim in size and weight. It gives the user flexibility and freedom of movement. (86x48x130 mm, 420 g)
HOW DOES THE INITIAL INSTALLATION WORK?

Both, Single and Multi Ward Solution are delivered pre-configured, which simplifies the initial installation. The Single Ward Solution is plug and play and can be set up in less than 5 minutes. Otherwise the installation can be booked optional.
In general the RIEDEL Service includes a service hotline Monday - Friday from 9.00 am to 5.00 pm. Additional remote support is available and the installation of solutions can be booked. The exact scope of service differs for each option and can be extended individually.
